Licensed Home Child Care

Meeting the needs of parents and children has been a passion since I was 13.  I baby sat constantly from the age of 13 all the way through collage while I was also working a Kids R Us and for a school district at a before and after school day care.  Needless to say I was busy.  Then I got a job as a three year old lead teacher at a preschool.  Soon after that I graduated from California State Fullerton College in 2002 with my BA in Child and Adolescent Development and got married to my awesome husband Michael. Right before I got married I decided to get more training and began working at a Montessori school in Irvine, CA.  I loved it and got my Montessori Teaching Certificate for ages 0-3 years at UC Irvine in California. In 2005 I had my first beautiful girl.  Then in 2007 we moved here to Colorado.  I have wanted to do home child care since I was 16 and as I was planning to have my second child I decided to live out that dream and stay home with my children.  My second beautiful daughter was born in 2008.  I love staying home with my children while helping out other families.

One of the things that I have learned throughout the years is that you can never get enough training and that I need to constantly reevaluate my teaching method.  I love to learn through classes and research and strive to better my program and myself each year.  I continue my education throughout each year through trainings, conferences, and workshops. Currently I am taking a 48 hour class called Expanding Quaility Care for Infants and Toddlers (EQIT) of whitch I will finsih the first week of December 2012. I also am an active member of the Adams County Family Child Care Association where I get lots of support and advice from well seasoned family child care providers.  Doing this benefits you and your child in the quality of care.

Should you choose my facility as your child’s “home away from home”, I will take the very best care of your child and strive to meet his/her needs and create a bond not only with your child, but with your family.  Your child with have the opportunity to learn from his/her peers, music and movement, and hands on pre math, pre reading, fingerplays, rhymes, reading stories, writing, social studies, art, science, sensory experiences, and social interactions.  Play with purpose is the key and we will do group activities, free choice play, and I will have one on one time with your child.  I will also make sure that the activities are developmentally appropriate for your child.
